Providing a nourishing life for a child is not easy whether you are alone or married. Good men are hard to find, men who will help nourish a child from conception until the father dies. A difficult man guarantees trauma for a child and a mother's difficulty in providing for that child is exponentially more difficult if the father is not responsible, not mutual, and disengaged from the marriage and the child. Many men expect to be cared for by their wives as though they were perpetual toddlers. So, women are always in the unenviable position of trying to find a good man to have kids with; we always have been. However, we are in a much better position now to ensure our children get what they need, since we can hold jobs that are lucrative and make nourishing a child properly possible. Yay!
