Early night stretched broad above me, Lora, and Tana as they sat talking in the Spiral Garden. “We are zooming through space right now,” Lora commented.

Lora had just been studying some Digital Sky Survey maps and their upgrades that had been accomplished by huge teams of scientists over three generations. The distribution pattern of galaxies fascinated her. She tried to imagine the dense anticipation of the originating scientists and lay observers for what the first computer-generated maps might reveal.
